Almost 7 Months Later....

How bad is that.. 7 months since my last post. Since pretty much no one reads this I don't feel too bad. hehe. Oh well, what can a busy mom do. Since it is the new year I figure it is time to get back into the swing of things, stop procrastinating and start doing. Lots has happened since I last posted anything on my blog. Its rather sad that I haven't made the time to update anything on here.
First of all we had our baby girl Kadyn Ann Shields early morning on June 23rd, 2012. I will save the whole "Birth Experience" for a post of its own. She is beyond loved by family and friends and especially her big brother. Words can not describe how fantastic he is with her. She loves watching him and playing with him and giggling at all the funny things he does to amuse her. We had a fairly uneventful summer vacation for Camron. He turned 6 this summer and of course we threw him a big over sized birthday yet again. It was outside and of course it decided to rain/sprinkle and pour down on us at times. But all in all, looking back it was a fun day. Nothing goes off without a hitch I suppose.
Camron got swimming lessons for his birthday so there I was lugging around a new born and my 6 year old for two weeks every morning. Let me say, as much as I felt like supermom everyday for completing that task, it was exhausting. Cam passed his swimming lessons and speaking of that maybe I should put him in his level one soon just to break routine.
We also had Shawn's cousin Jordan come up for 10 days. She was one of the bridesmaids in my wedding. I loved having her around, so did Cam. Poor Jordan was bombarded by him and I don't think she knew what she was getting herself into haha.
I also managed to get out with both my babies and have a picnic in the park. Just gotta say that was another one of my "Supermom" moments.
Summer faded and Cam went back to school which freed up a little more time for me. Its nice just having a little extra time. But who am I kidding, Kadyn always keeps me on my toes.
We lost our dog this winter. It was heartbreaking. I forgot how much it hurts to loose a pet. I am in no rush to replace him. I thought we wouldn't have to deal with his death until he was an old man and Camron was much older. Sometimes things happen and there's not much you can do about it. We are still to this day uncertain as to what happened. We weren't able to bury him so we took him into the vet so that they could send him away to be cremated (we didn't want any ashes back) but before they sent him out they made us two ceramic footprints which I am so proud of. One for Shawn and I and one for Cam. Jax was his first dog and we figured he might want a piece of him always. I know that I sure do.
Holidays came and went this year. Halloween was as hectic as always. We were all sick with the flu for Christmas and the kids and I spent New Years in Chetwynd with Linda. Then had New Years dinner with Grandpa and Granny (Shawn's Grandparents). I ended up taking Kadyn into Emerg while we were there and she developed strep throat somehow. So she is currently on medication to fix her back up to feeling herself.
Well, that pretty much covers the past 7 months in a nutshell. Not too much detail, but just enough to almost bore you to death
:)
